day 025: can't talk right now

Posted on 2007-03-04

"Given the way your mind is working today, flipping a coin might just be the best way to make any decision you're faced with, whether it's what to have for lunch or something much more significant. For too long, you've been overanalyzing things -- and you are close to becoming paralyzed by an excess of information. Break free by operating on instinct today. Follow your whims, and don't buy into the idea that there is one right way and one wrong way -- there's only your way." --Yahoo.com Astrology; Scorpio

Yesterday was pretty awesome.  I had fun at both the banquet and the party.  My voice is fucked up right now though.  Every word I try to say get's cut-off.  This was due to me drinking ice cold water at both events. =(

Today, I really don't have any plans but to head down to Robeks and get my daily ounces of wheat grass and to think about what to do next weekend.

Hey you!  You know who you are...the one I've been talking to over the phone and relaying messages to online for the past couple of weeks.  Do you wanna go on a date with me on Saturday? =D

Well yeah...  My friend Jeromie (prounced as Jeremy) had IMmed just a moment ago telling me about his experience at our local Michaels.  It's pretty sad how this world still hasn't fully opened up it's eyes.

jeromiegermanyj (1:55:07 PM): Dude friday I got kicked out of michaels
jeromiegermanyj (1:55:24 PM): Some fucking old white dude got me confused with my friend who got kicked out last week
jeromiegermanyj (1:55:39 PM): Cause appearantly all filipinos look alike to white men
con6p2ldsign (1:58:07 PM): wtf

This is totally wrong.  If I was there with him that exact moment, I would have confronted the man. The guy needs to really open his eyes because not only was my friend Filipino, but the area he lives in has a large population of Filipinos.  It's 2007 and it's sad that there are still some people out there who are ignorant.  Aside from the pigmentation of our skin, our culture and our languages, we are still the same.  I'm sorry Jeromie that - that had to happen to you...

For sure. I actually got asked by a white guy if I came "off the boat" once, and, thinking he was being culturally broad-minded, started saying random Korean words he heard. Not the thing you want to deal with when you just came to Borders to do a little studying.

It's not just race.. my son got arrested because the shirt he had on matched the true person's shirt. It wasn't until I got there and started asking questions did they find out that someone else did the crime. Just.. a shirt.
